The project team of the Street Performers Festival “Trotoart” has completed the selection process for the artists and associations who applied to this year’s public call.
According to the City of Banja Luka, around 390 artists and performers will take part in the local and children’s programs of the festival.
“This is the highest number of applicants and selected participants we’ve had so far. The great interest shown by our citizens proves that the event has met expectations over the past three years and sparked enthusiasm among performers,” stated the City Administration.
Participants in the children’s and youth programs include: Branko Đurđevodić Music School, Rock Symphony Music Atelier, Comic Book Authors and Fans Association “Ninth Dimension” (comic book workshops), Rubik’s Cube Club of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivana Ostojić Babić (art workshops for children), Dankan – theatre and dance club, Banja Luka Gymnasium (in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to BiH), Autism Association “Children of Light”, face painters, Slobodan Kesić (Little Vultures) Face Painting by, Extended Day Care “Step by Step,” NGO “Radost” (children’s workshops), among others.
The local program will feature: City Tamburitza Orchestra, Afrodizijak, NGO Women Can Do It, Street Music Therapy – Ognjen Ranisavić, magician Zoran Arnaut, Ensemble “Banjalučki vez,” painter Lidija Olenjuk, Đorđe Trninić and the group Kreartivci, Goran Mušan, The Fandangos, sister duo Karatina and Kristina Babić, dance club “BLOK,” Mixed Choir “Pjetro Makanji,” Katarina Jasnić and Viktor Janković, Ensemble “Banjalučka svita,” Ensemble “Friends from Vrbas” (with guests from Bihać and Slovenia), magician Darko Šinkić, guitarist Mihajlo Ćejić, living statue performer Tijana Mihić, women’s chamber choir “Iris,” and others.
The festival program is currently being finalized, and more details on the exciting international segment will be announced soon.
“Trotoart” is organized by the City of Banja Luka and the City Tamburitza Orchestra, and this year’s edition will take place from June 9 to 15.
